Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)

The professionals of Texas Autism Assessment and Advocacy Group have extensive experience working with students in a school setting. We feel passionate about helping develop a school environment that is a positive learning experience for all students. Our staff includes Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSP) who are able to perform psychoeducational assessments for both private and public schools as well as make recommendations for school programming and behavior management. LSSPs can also use their understanding of behavioral functions and knowledge of behavioral principles to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and help school committees create appropriate Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPS) that are positive and effective.

Parents of a child with a possible disability or educational eligibility have the right to request an Independent Examiner Evaluation (IEE). An IEE is an evaluation conducted by a qualified examiner that is not employed by a child’s school district. Parents may obtain an IEE in any area that might impact the child’s education. An IEE may be conducted at the parent’s expense and must be considered by the child’s school district when planning for the child’s education. In some instances, an IEE may be requested at the expense of the school district.

You may request TAAAG as the provider for an Independent Examiner Evaluation (IEE) through your school district.
