The Texas Autism Assessment and Advocacy Group specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder evaluations with a multidisciplinary approach. Considering the complexity of the disorder, our group feels that multidisciplinary collaboration is imperative to address the varied aspects of functioning affected, as well as distinguish from other possible disorders. Our multidisciplinary group consists of Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Associates, Licensed Specialists in School Psychology, and Speech Language Pathologists.
We evaluate individuals from ages 2.5 through adulthood. If your child is younger than 2.5 years of age, please contact us for a consultation to determine if an assessment is appropriate.
Assessment will include an autism evaluation, speech and language evaluation, and intellectual cognitive testing. Further psychological assessment may be warranted based on each individual patient’s needs and concerns. In addition to a structured assessment in our office, TAAAG might request an observation of the patient in a natural setting (school, daycare, etc) to ensure the most accurate information pertaining to the patient's functional use of social skills, pragmatics, and communication.
In addition to evaluations, our group offers advocacy support for families with school aged children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or any other disability or educational eligibility. Our aim is to offer a comprehensive evaluation and then support families with information, recommendations, and guidance within their child’s school program.
To schedule an appointment please call (817) 381-5268 or complete the Patient Intake Form and one of our associates will contact you within two business days.
